Noahide Laws
According to the Torah, God established a foundational moral code for all of humanity following the Great Flood. Known as the Seven Noahide Laws, these principles serve as a universal "covenant of peace" for every person on Earth, regardless of their background or culture. They provide a clear framework for building a just, compassionate, and stable society under the sovereignty of the One True Creator.
By following these seven paths, any individual can live a life of spiritual purpose and ethical integrity:
-
Acknowledge the Creator (Do Not Worship Idols): Dedicate your devotion to the One True God alone. Do not serve or pray to finite objects, nature, or created beings.
-
Respect the Name of God (Do Not Blaspheme): Speak of the Divine with reverence. Avoid using God's name to curse or express destructive anger.
-
Respect Human Life (Do Not Murder): Every human life is sacred. Do not commit homicide or cause physical harm to others.
-
Respect the Property of Others (Do Not Steal): Maintain absolute honesty in your business and personal life. Do not take what does not belong to you through force, fraud, or trickery.
-
Respect the Family Unit (Do Not Commit Immoral Sexual Acts): Foster a life of modesty and fidelity. Avoid adultery, incest, and other unions that undermine the sanctity of the family.
-
Respect All Living Creatures (Do Not Eat a Limb from a Living Animal): Practice kindness toward animals. Do not cause unnecessary suffering to any of God’s creatures.
-
Promote Justice (Establish Courts of Law): Be active in your community by supporting a legal system that protects the innocent, punishes the guilty, and ensures equal rights for all.
